A hydraulic oil cooler is a key component of hydraulic systems with demanding duty cycles, ensuring the optimum operating temperature of the entire hydraulic circuit. The main function of the cooler is to cool the oil, which improves the thermal characteristics of the whole hydraulic system. Our range includes air‑oil coolers with a maximum flow rate of up to 400 l/min. The coolers offered can be driven by DC electric motors (12 V, 24 V), AC motors (230 V) or hydraulic motors.

Hydraulic oil cooler 12 V

This cooler is designed mainly for mobile applications. The air‑oil cooler with an aluminium heat exchanger provides very efficient heat dissipation wherever high oil temperature adversely affects the operation of hydraulic systems in vehicles with a 12 V DC electrical system. Standard hydraulic coolers for most mobile applications can additionally be equipped with a thermostat controlling the fan operation, supplied as a kit together with the oil heat exchanger.

Hydraulic oil cooler 24 V

The AmberLine range of oil coolers also includes air‑oil coolers designed for installation on hydraulic machines with a 24 V DC electrical system. This is also one of the most common mobile applications. Due to the operating characteristics of hydraulic machinery in varying climatic conditions, oil overheating becomes a significant issue, which can be effectively solved by using hydraulic oil coolers. Hydraulic oil cooler 230 V

When operating inside buildings, it often turns out that due to the ambient temperature and limited air flow, the system requires an oil cooler. In such cases, an excellent solution is an oil heat exchanger with a fan driven directly from the building’s mains supply. This type of cooler is used in stationary hydraulically driven installations – for example hydraulic presses, specialised conveyors, etc.

Applications of hydraulic oil coolers

Proper oil cooling is essential for the correct operation of hydraulic systems. Oil flowing through the system, its compression in the pump and internal flow resistance (e.g. across valves) all cause the oil temperature to rise. Oil overheating changes its physical properties (density, viscosity, etc.), which in turn reduces the performance and efficiency of the entire system.
